Author of "O Christ, Our Joy, Gone Up on High" in The Cyber Hymnal In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.

1809 - 1886 Person Name: David T. Morgan Translator (from Latin) of "O Christ, Our Joy, Gone Up on High" in The Cyber Hymnal Morgan, David Thomas, b. Sep. 17, 1809, d. Nov. 14, 1886. In 1880 Mr. Morgan's translations from the Latin were published as Hymns and Poems of the Latin Church, Translated by D. T. Morgan. Arranged according to the Calendar of the Church of England, Lond., Rivingtons, 1880. About one-half of these translations had been previously printed for private circulation in his Hymns of the Latin Church, Translated by David T.
