| Tune: | CONQUEST |
| Composer: | G. F. Handel, 1685-1759 |
1 Go joyfully forth
To war against sin,
Thro' night and thro' storm
The battle to win.
Tho' tempests be raging,
Continue the fight;
Look ever to Jesus,
With Him there is light.
2 Tho' clouds should enshroud
Thy fear-stricken heart,
Tho' yielding to pain
Thy peace should depart,
Tho' faintness possess thee
And joy take to flight,
Tell Jesus thy trouble,
With Him there is light.
3 Tho' dark be the night
And strife may be long,
Tho' idols stand firm
And capture the throng,
Look hopefully upward,
Keep Jesus in sight;
The heavens are open:
With Him there is light.
