| Text: | The Master Is Calling |
| Author: | S. C. Kirk |
| Tune: | [The Master is calling in some way to all] |
| Composer: | Adam Geibel |
1 The Master is calling in some way to all
By His Word or His Spirit today;
But tomorrow, perhaps, by His touch He may call,
If we do not the Spirit obey.
Refrain:
The Master is calling, now calling;
Lord, give me the vision to see;
Not how Thou art calling to others,
But how Thou art calling to me.
2 Long, long has He called you, dear wandering one;
In His love He has followed your path;
He is calling you now in His tenderest tone,
But tomorrow may call in His wrath. [Refrain]
3 The fields unto harvest are already white,
But the laborers, they are so few;
And the work must be done ere the shadows of night;
So the Master is calling for you. [Refrain]
4 The talent He gave you to use till He came,
Does it idly remain in your hands?
For the Master is come and is calling your name;
He would know how your stewardship stands. [Refrain]
