166. O Think Of The Glory Beyond

1 When lonely and weary and sad,
And tempted to grieve and despond,
Look up, heart rejoice and be glad,
O think of the glory beyond.

Refrain:
There's light tho’ the shadows are deep,
Oh, do not in sadness despond;
For Jesus will guard you and keep,
Till safe in the glory beyond.

2 Afflictions not always endure,
And tears His own hand there shall dry
Where joys are eternal and sure,
In yonder bright home in the sky. [Refrain]

3 Then trust in His promises blest,
‘Twill strengthen faith’s glorious bond;
He’ll lead you to portals of rest,
Safe home to the glory beyond. [Refrain]
