Text: | Believing We Rejoice |
Author: | R. M. H. |
Tune: | [Believing, we rejoice with joy unbounded] |
Composer: | Roger M. Hickman |
1 Believing, we rejoice with joy unbounded,
In the free salvation of our Lord and King;
Upon this rock our hope is firmly founded,
And with joy the praises of our Lord we sing.
Refrain:
Believing, we rejoice in a full salvation,
Trusting Him who in death was victor o’er the grave;
Receiving Him, we’re free from all condemnation,
Saved and kept by His pow’r, for He’s able now to save.
2 Believing, we rejoice in Him, tho’ never
having seen His blessed face, we see His pow’r;
As one, we live in Him and naught can sever
From His love and presence every day and hour. [Refrain]
3 Believing, we rejoice in tribulation,
That our faith, more precious than the finest gold,
Be found unto His praise and exultation,
In that day when Heaven’s portals shall unfold. [Refrain]
