His single pastorate (1961- ) has been a "tentmaker" ministry" at Saltcoats, Sask., which he combined with teaching English in the town's high school, and which he has from time to time shared with other clergy, notably Margaret Joyce Dickin. Jane Marshall

1924 - 2019 Person Name: Jane Marshall (1924-2019) Composer of "ANNIVERSARY SONG (Marshall)" in Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal Jane Marshall, was born Jane Anne Manton in Dallas in 1924. She became a pianist and organist and composed music as a teenager. She earned a music degree in 1945 from SMU. She married Elbert Marshall. She went on to write more than 200 hymns and other sacred music works. She later earned a Masters degree in 1968 from SMU in choral conducting and composition. She taught at SMU's Perkins School of Theology and tis Church Music Summer School from 1975-2010. She attended Northaven United Methodist Church in Dallas for many years, collaborated often with other hymn writers, and encouraged many students. John Roberts

1807 - 1876 Harmonizer of "ST. DENIO" in The Worshiping Church John Roberts was a Welsh musician, born 30 March 1807 at Henllan, near Denbigh. He collected a large number of hymn tunes. Some of these were included in John Parry's Peroriaeth Hyfryd, 1837. In 1839 he published Caniadau y Cysegr which contained 55 tunes that he harmonized. He died 4 April 1876 near Denbigh.
