Dale Garratt

Author of "For His name is exalted" in Songs of Fellowship Dale Garratt is a New Zealand worship leader, songwriter, and publisher who, with her husband David, founded Scripture in Song (Auckland, 1968). Through albums and songbooks that set Scripture verbatim to singable melodies, the Garratts helped shape congregational worship across the Charismatic and evangelical world in the 1970s–1990s. Scripture in Song issued dozens of recordings and widely used compilations; the Garratts were later recognized nationally for services to Christian music production. J. S.
