Faith Will e'er Prevail

Author: F. M. D. Hymnal: Triumphant Songs No.5 #67 (1896) First Line: I've an anchor strong that will surely hold Lyrics: 1 I’ve an anchor strong that will surely hold Tho’ the wildest billows roll, ‘Tis the faith I have in Thee, Christ my Lord, Who the winds and waves control. Refrain: Faith will e’er prevail, Faith will e’er prevail, I believe the word of my risen Lord: Faith will e’er prevail. 2 I’ve an anchor strong that is grounded deep In my blessed Savior’s love, Tho’ the storm may rage, yet I’m cabled strong To the Rock that cannot move. [Refrain] 3 I’ve an anchor strong that will firmly hold Thro’ the swelling floods of death It will keep my soul, when the waters cold Chill my last expiring breath. [Refrain] Tune Title: [I've an anchor strong that will surely hold]
