Look not on the clouds that gather

Author: Alexcenah Thomas
Tune: [Look not on the clouds that gather]
Published in 2 hymnals

Audio files: MIDI

Representative Text

1 Look not on the clouds that gather
Darkly o’er thy path today,
But behold the blessed sunshine
God hath strewn along thy way.

Refrain:
Catch the radiant beams of beauty,
Emblem of his life divine;
Let his truth and blest example
In thy life forever shine.

2 See! the golden rays are streaming
From a loving Father’s hand,
Coming down our food to ripen
And to beautify the land. [Refrain]

3 Let us catch the blessed sunshine
In our lives and hearts today,
And reflect its warmth and beauty
Unto others on our way. [Refrain]
