He Is Able to Deliver

Author: Edgar Lewis Hymnal: Songs of Christian Service #10 (1903) First Line: Swell with heart and voice the song Lyrics: 1 Swell with heart and voice the song, Let the chorus roll along, Christ is able to deliver; Tell his wondrous pow’r to save, Shout his vict’ry o’er the grace, He is able to deliver. Refrain: He is able to deliver, Shout the story o’er the mountains and the wave, Ring it out afar and near, It will scatter every fear, He is able to deliver and to save. 2 Tell it over hill and plain, From the strength of evil’s chain Christ is able to deliver; Hallelujah! grace is free, In the Lord is liberty, He is able to deliver. [Refrain] 3 He can take the sinfulest, Bring them perfect peace and rest, Christ is able to deliver; Underneath the fountain’s flow Every heart may be like snow, He is able to deliver. [Refrain] Tune Title: [Swell with heart and voice the song]
