No evil can thy soul betide While thou art close to Jesus’ side; Trust thou in God! Trust thou in God! Along life’s road trust thou in God! 2 Have faith in God! Have faith in God! And naught can separate thy soul From His divine and safe control; Have faith in God! Have faith in God! Along life’s road have faith in God! 3 Be true to God! Be true to God! He has been good and kind to thee, And evermore thy friend will be; Be true to God! Be true to God! Along life’s road be true to God! 4 Go on in faith, in trusting faith! The heav’n where soon we hope to be Is reached by way of Calvary; Go on in faith, along life’s road; The goal is reached by trust in God. Tune Title: [Trust thou in God! Trust thou in God]
