Sarah Sarkis Sabra is the mother of renowned Lebanese composer/musician Wadi'h Sabra founder of the Lebanese Conservatoire National and author of the Othmani National Anthem in 1908. She is the daughter of Sarkis from the village of Abeih (Lebanon) and the sister of Khalil Sarkis the founder of the Daily Newspaper Lisan-al-Haal and the wife of Girgis Sabra first Director of the British Boys' School (BLTC) founded by the British Mission in Beirut. Sarah taught in the BLTC for about 50 years.
