1847 - 1948 Author of "When I Survey That Glorious throne" Born: December 3, 1847, Calcutta, India. Died: April 17, 1948, Plainfield, New Jersey. Buried: Hillside Cemetery, Plainfield, New Jersey. Jennings emigrated to America in 1871, and eventually established a tea business in New York City. He was associated with Britain’s Plymouth Brethren in the 1870’s, and, in 1881, moved to Plainfield, New Jersey.
