Baynard L. Fox

1932 - 1982 Author of "I'll Tell the World That I'm a Christian" in Baptist Hymnal 1991 Baynard Layne Fox USA 1932-1982. Born at Louisville, KY, his family lived at St Matthews, KY, when he was age 7. He was musically inclined. Not much information found regarding his life. He married Mary Darlene Tarter (1932-2020), and they had a daughter, Lois Elayne. At some point he became a writer, composer, and music editor. He wrote songs and cantatas, possibly for the Fred Bock Music Company (as that name is related to some of his work). He also directed the Atlanta Christian Chorus, an interdenominational and inter-racial group of 140 members representing 10 denominations and 65 churches in the Atlanta metro area. Some of his cantatas include: ‘The Christmas Spirit’ (1962); ‘A New Creation’ 1969); ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant’ (1970); ‘When God steps in Choir Book’ (1976). His wife worked for Amoco Oil Company (time period not found). He died at Tucker, GA. John Perry
