Author: E. O. Knee Appears in 4 hymnals Hymnal Title: Alexander's Hymns No. 4 First Line: Here I lift my heart and hand Lyrics: 1 Here I lift my heart and hand, Pledged to Thee, my Lord, I stand, All the world I could but dross, Glory only in Thy cross. 2 What have I to bring to Thee? Naught but sin and misery; What Thy love and power can tell? Deep, immense, unsearchable. 3 Thro’ the year my life has been Marked by waywardness and sin; Yet Thou hast the wanderer blest, Thro’ my Lord’s unrighteousness. 4 Now I come to Thee for light, Guide and cheer in life’s dark night; Now I rest upon Thy Word, Dare to call Thee God and Lord.
