Jesus Loves Me

Author: L. E. J. Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: I am trusting in the Lord and the promise of His word Refrain First Line: When the day fades to night Jesus loves me Lyrics: 1 I am trusting in the Lord and the promise of His word At the noontide or ‘mid shadows gray; Tho’ the light be bright or dim I will gladly walk with Him, He will be my dearest Friend alway. Refrain: When the day fades to night Jesus loves me, When the gloom turns to light Jesus loves me; In the valleys, o’er the hills, All my heart with joy He fills, And my soul with rapture thrills For He loves me. 2 I need never walk alone for the Savior is my own, Oh, what glory none can ever tell; Day by day I love Him more, Sing His praises o’er and o’er, For He guides my steps and all is well. [Refrain] 3 I am trav’ling to a home where my feet shall never roam, There to lay my ev’ry burden down; Where the angel feet have trod, In the garden of my God, I shall gladly wear a victor’s crown. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [I am trusting in the Lord and the promise of His word]
