Terry MacAlmon

b. 1955 Author of "I Sing Praises to Your Name" in Zion still Sings Terry MacAlmon (born May 12, 1955, Poughkeepsie, New York) is an American worship leader, pianist, and songwriter best known for the chorus “I Sing Praises” (written 1985; widely circulated from 1989). Raised in a Christian home, he played in church from early childhood and later served on staffs in Assemblies of God and independent charismatic congregations. From 1998 he hosted the weekly noon gathering “Lunch with the Lord” in Colorado Springs, whose live recordings helped popularize his reverent, piano-led style. After a brief hiatus, he founded New Glory International (2010) and continues to minister itinerantly, record, and convene national worship events (including “Sing Over America”). J. S.
