M. Thomas Thangaraj

b. 1942 Composer of "[I was glad when they said to me]" in Halle Halle M. Thomas Thangaraj taught at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Georgia. He retired from that position in 2008. He has a BSc from St. John's College, a BD from Serampore College, a MTh from United Theological College and a ThD from Harvard Divinity School. He has written hymns in Tamil for the use of churches in India.
