Mother And Home

Author: William Matthew Golden Hymnal: The Cyber Hymnal #15387 First Line: In a graveyard lone, near the dear old home Refrain First Line: From this earth dear mother’s gone Lyrics: 1 In a graveyard lone, near the dear old home, Lies a form I love so well; And I’ll ne’er forget how she cared for me, Ere she said, My boy, farewell. Refrain: From this earth dear mother’s gone, But we’ll meet on Canaan’s shore; There we’ll live while ages roll, Where sad partings come no more. 2 O the dear old home where I used to play, Is a place most dear to me; But the one I loved I shall see no more, Till I cross the jasper sea. [Refrain] 3 Near the dear old home, in the graveyard lone, Mother’s form was laid to rest; But we’ll meet again in the by and by, And be numbered with the blest. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [In a graveyard lone, near the dear old home]
