Coming Home

Representative Text

1 I’ve wandered far o’er sin’s dark wild,
I’m coming home tonight;
My Father calls, “Come back, my child;”
I’m coming home tonight.

Refrain:
I’m coming home tonight,
I’m coming home tonight, tonight;
Open the door, dear Lord, for me,
I’m coming home tonight.

2 Long have I sought sweet peace and rest,
I’m coming home tonight;
Yet all in vain has been my quest,
I’m coming home tonight. [Refrain]

3 Coming to Jesus’ wounded side,
I’m coming home tonight;
Coming to Christ the crucified,
I’m coming home tonight. [Refrain]

4 Let me abide, dear Lord, with Thee,
I’m coming home tonight;
O let me all Thy glory see,
I’m coming home tonight. [Refrain]
