Person Name: Adaline Holf Beery Author of "Working for the Master" in Triumphant Songs No.3 In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.

Attended Williston's Seminary, East Hampton, Mass. 1855 to Hudson, New York, then Albany. Taught in Ypsilanti, Michigan, then Detroit. Settled in Janesville, Wisconsin. Served in the Civil War.
