1 ‘Tis Jesus calls, “Come unto me,”
Thou weary one, when sins distress;
At morn and eve bend thou the knee,
And freely all thy guilt confess.

‘Tis Jesus calls, that voice so sweet,
Invites thee all thy grief to lay
Down at the cross, His love entreat,
And learn of Him, the Living Way.

2 ‘Tis Jesus calls, “Come unto me,”
His voice oft whispers in thy ear;
Though heavy-laden, “Come to me,”
And cast thy ev’ry care. [Chorus]

3 ‘Tis Jesus calls; though racked with pain,
He’ll soothe thy anguish, give thee peace;
Thou’lt seek all other helps in vain;
The gospel only can release. [Chorus]

4 ‘Tis Jesus calls! O, now be wise,
Relent, O heart of stone, relent!
Accept the offered sacrifice,
And of thy sins at once repent. [Chorus]
