Never have a trouble

Representative Text

1 We shall never have a trouble over there,
In the land that saints inherit, bright and fair;
Free from all that can annoy,
Filled with glory and with joy,
We shall never have a trouble over there.

Chorus:
Over there, over there,
In the land that saints inherit, bright and fair;
Free from all that can annoy,
Filled with glory and with joy,
We shall never have a trouble, over there.

2 Here the tempter tries to harm us ev'ry day,
And the clouds of times surround us on our way;
Yet the clouds are pierced with light,
By the promises so bright,
But there'll be no clouds of trials over there. [Chorus]

3 Here the friends that we are trusting oft deceive,
And our faith is sorely tested, and we grieve;
But there's one Friend, who is true,
What he says, he'll surely do;
We shall reign with him forever, over there. [Chorus]

4 Yes, our Saviour will return and bring the crown,
To his faithful, waiting children, all his own;
He will overthrow death's sway,
He will wipe our tears away,
There will be no death, or crying, over there. [Chorus]

5 We shall meet our loved ones we have missed so long,
With immortal beauty, and with palm and song;
We will join with them and raise Heavenly melodies of praise
To our Jesus and Redeemer, over there. [Chorus]
