This delightful setting of the SUSSEX CAROL is effective at a Christmas service or concert. The fresh and imaginative organ accompaniment forms a unique partnership with the voices. Stanza two employs canonic treatment between the tenor and organ against a drone bass part. An a cappella setting of stanza three is followed by the final stanza concluding with an unexpected surprise.
