Author: Maria Magdalena Böhmer
Böhmer, Maria Magdalena, sister of J. H. Böhmer was born at Hannover, where she died, unmarried, in 1743 or 1741 (Koch, iv. 373; Bode, p. 47). She contributed two hymns (Nos. 655, 660) to Freylinghausen's Gesang-Buch, 1704; while one (No. 430) in his Neues Geistreiches Gesang-Buch, 1714, and four (Nos. 188,193,194,582) in the NeueSammlung, Wernigerode, 1752, are also ascribed to her. The only hymn by her translated into English is—
