Are You Ready For The Judgment?

Representative Text

1 Are you ready for the judgment?
It is coming by and by,
When the trumpet sound shall call you
To the bar of God on high,
And the hour no mortal knoweth,
E’en the angels may not know,
Are you ready for the judgment?
You shall reap whate’er you sow.

Refrain:
He is coming, Christ is coming,
With the angels in the air;
Are you ready for the judgment?
Will it fill you with despair?

2 God provides a free salvation,
He so loved the world He gave,
Christ His only Son Belovèd,
Those astray and lost to save;
There’s no way but His, believe it,
And accept the place He gives;
Are you ready for the judgment?
Every one who trusts Him lives. [Refrain]

3 Are you ready for the judgment?
Soul, no longer idly wait,
When today’s the time accepted,
Hasten ere you be too late—
Chris the great atonement calls you,
Cast on Him your sins and care;
Are you ready for the judgment?
You a crown of life shall wear. [Refrain]

In 1860, Mrs. Mabie accepted a position in Topeka, Kansas, where she taught many years. Under her tutelage, Laura received her education.
