She worked in the ad­ver­tis­ing de­part­ment of Mac­mil­lan Com­pa­ny, New York; F. A. Stokes Com­pa­ny, New York; and did ed­i­tor­ial work for Ginn & Com­pa­ny in Bo­ston, Mass­a­chu­setts.
