Representative Text

1 Beyond the pale of earthly blight,
There lies a country fair and bright
Where never fall the shades of night,
Over there, in the saints’ eternal home.

Chorus:
My heav’nly home, my glorious home!
To thee with fervent hope my heart is turning;
Dear land of peace, where raging tempests cease,
My fair eternal home.

2 There on that bright and shining shore,
We’ll meet the friends we lov’d of yore,
And dwell with them forevermore,
Over there, in the saints’ eternal home. [Chorus]

3 ‘Twill not be long I linger here,
For Christ will very soon appear;
E’en now His coming draweth near;
He will take me to my eternal home. [Chorus]
