The Love of Christ

1 Boundless as the mighty sea,
Lasting as eternity,
Is Thy love, O perfect One,
Thou, the Father’s only Son!

2 Tender as a mother, Thou,
Gently stoking sorrow’s brow;
Healing hearts with balm of peace,
Making all our troubles cease.

3 Gentle as a little child,
With the lamb upon the wild,
Leading it back to the fold,
Safe from dangers of the world.

4 Brighter than the noonday sun,
Is Thy glory, Holy One!
Mightier than monarch’s fame,
Is Thy matchless, peerless Name.
