Representative Text

1 Fling wide thy gates, O Church,
Thy door, O weary heart!
Behold, the King of glory comes,
And never would depart!

2 O Zion, rise and shine!
No more by sin enticed;
The night is spent, and brightly dawns
The day of Jesus Christ!

3 Behold, saith He, I stand
And knock at ev'ry door,
And where I enter with My light,
There darkness reigns no more.

4 Come in, dear Lord, we pray,
Come in, Thou Blessed One,
That henchforth, in each word and deed,
Thy bidding may be done.

Amen.
