During our last fund drive a donor said this: "Covid-19 rules prevent us from singing during my husband's burial service, so we will play the tune while we read the printed words or hum along with the music." Needless to say, this testimony struck us and stuck with us. We never know on any given day how Hymnary.org will be a blessing to people, but we know that around the world, the site is making a powerful difference in the lives of many.

Thanks to all who use Hymnary.org and all who support it with gifts of time, talent and treasure. If you feel moved to support our work today with a gift of any amount and a word of encouragement, we would be grateful.

What though my joys and comfort die?
The Lord my savior liveth.
What though the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth.

1 Fra Himlen kom et vældigt Veir,
Et vældigt Veir
Med Ild i Guds Apostlers Leir,
Halleluja, Halleluja!

2 Fra Himlen kom Guds Aand med Glød,
Guds Aand med Glød,
Op stod til Liv, hvad før vor Død.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

3 De glødend' Ord paa Tunge laa,
Paa Tunge laa,
Al Verden vaagned op og saa.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

4 Sankt Peder stod i Aanden stærk,
I Aanden stærk,
Bar Vidnesbyrd om al Guds Værk.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

5 Op først og fremst om Jesus Krist,
Om Jesus Krist,
Alt Folket slog sig for sit Bryst.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

6 Da brast der ud en Angers Graad,
En Angers Graad:
I Mænd og Brødre, vid os Raad!
Halleluja, Halleluja!

7 Sankt Peder stod, han takked Gud,
Han takked Gud,
Han havde end saa godt et Bud.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

8 Vend om, tag Daab i Jesu Navn,
I Jesu Navn,
Faa Synd forladt, og Aand i Favn!
Halleluja, Halleluja!

9 Den Tale dem i Hjertet slog,
I Hjertet slog,
Tre Tusind Sjæle Daaben tog.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

10 Guds Kirke saa ved Aand og Ord,
Ved Aand og Ord
Og Jesu Daab blev til paa Jord.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

11 Det skedte som ved Lynets Slag,
Ved Lynets Slag,
Guds Hus blev reist den samme Dag.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

12 Den Herre Krist er Hjørnesten,
Er Hjørnesten,
Ei Helved den skal gjøre Meen.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

13 Guds vældig Veir med Aandens Ild,
Med Aandens Ild,
Til denne Dag gaar fra og til.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

14 Der saa'des ud saa lidet Frø,
Saa lidet Frø,
Nu staar et træ paa Verdens Ø.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

15 Og Fuglene de bygge der,
De bygge der,
Der er stor Glæde fjern og nær.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

16 Vi love Gud, som vi kan bedst,
Som vi kan bedst,
Guds Frø bær Frugt til Pinsefest.
Halleluja, Halleluja!

17 Guds Frø bær Frugt, og helst til Høst,
Og helst til Høst,
Med Guds Aands Hjælp og gode Trøst.
Halleluja, Halleluja!
