Representative Text

Go work in the harvest of the Lord,
And let thy sheaves abound,
Nor stop 'mid the burning heat to rest,
But work till the sun goes down.

Chorus:
Go work, (and watch,) go work, (and pray,)
Go work till the sun goes down;
Go forth and work, and watch, and pray,
Go work till the sun goes down.

2 The work is great, the laborers few,
Go spread the news around;
No longer say there's nought to do,
But work till the sun goes down. [Chorus]

3 When souls are dying all around,
Why sit ye idle, dumb?
Go tell them of a Savior's love,
And work till the sun goes down. [Chorus]

4 Go work, while the daylight lingers, work;
Toil on till the crown is won,
And in the vineyard of the Lord
Rest not till the sun goes down. [Chorus]
