1 God chose us to be in Christ,
Long before He formed the earth,
To be holy in His sight
And adopted through new birth.

He has blessed us fully.

Every spiritual blessing, ours!

2 He has freely giv’n us grace,
Lavished on us in His Son.
Full redemption through Christ’s blood;

3 He’s made known His mystery,
Which in time will be fulfilled.
Christ will be the head of all,
Heav’n and earth, as God has willed. [Refrain]

4 We’re predestined by God’s plan,
That we might His glory praise.

Born: Oc­to­ber 17, 1950, Port An­ge­les, Wash­ing­ton. Died: Ju­ly 23, 2004, Per­al­ta, New Mex­i­co. Susan was the se­cond of two girls in the fam­i­ly. Her fa­ther worked for the Na­tion­al Park Ser­vice, so Su­san en­joyed grow­ing up in Na­tion­al Parks and His­tor­ic Sites across Amer­i­ca. She did her un­der­grad­u­ate work at Stan­ford Un­i­ver­si­ty and earned a BS in ma­the­ma­tics in 1972. The next year she took a one-year grad­u­ate pro­gram at Mult­no­mah School of the Bi­ble in Port­land, Or­e­gon, and re­ceived a Cer­tif­i­cate of Bi­ble up­on com­ple­tion.
