Representative Text

1 Have you heard the Saviour calling you today,
Weary wand’rer, calling you from sin?
Will you heed the gentle warning and obey,
And gladly enter in?

Refrain:
O soul, be ready when the Bridegroom comes,
O soul, be ready for your heav’nly home,
If you’d hear the message from the Lord, “well done!”
Be ready! be ready when the Bridegroom comes!

2 Would you spurn the offer now so freely giv’n,
Or resist those tender words of love?
Would you rest securely in the hope of heav’n?
Then turn to things above. [Refrain]

3 When at last your earthly pilgrimage is o’er,
And the silent river stands in view,
Will a glad, sweet welcome from the other shore
Be your to help you through? [Refrain]
