Representative Text

1 Hear the bugle sounding loud and clear,
Calling to the battle-field;
‘Tis the call of Christ, our Captain dear,
Who would have us never yield.

Chorus:
To the battle front we will rise and go,
We will face the foe today!
Where He leads we will follow our Captain true;
To the battle front away, away!

2 While the hosts of God are marshalling,
Will you join their ranks today,
And forward march with Christ our King
To the hottest of the fray? [Chorus]

3 Let us fight each sin and ev’ry vice,
Standing for the good and true;
For the Master needs such soldiers brave,
And He calls for me and you. [Chorus]

4 There are enemies of home and state,
Enemies of truth and right;
We must boldly stand against them all,
For the good must live and fight. [Chorus]
