Representative Text

1 Holy Spirit, bending lowly,
Bring I Thee my heart and will;
Cleanse Thou me and make me holy,
And with Thine own fulness fill.

Refrain:
Holy Spirit, Thy infilling
Is the gift for which I pray;
I am waiting, Thou art willing,
Fill me with Thyself today.

2 Lord, I ask it, hardly knowing
What this wondrous gift may be;
But Thy mercy, ever flowing,
Will its meaning let me see. [Refrain]

3 Make me in Thy royal palace
Vessel worthy for my King;
With Thy goodness fill my chalice
From Thy never failing spring. [Refrain]

4 Promise and command combining
Doubt to chase and faith to lift;
Self renouncing, all resigning,
I would seek this mighty gift. [Refrain]
