Representative Text

1 I am trav’ling in the pathway, which our fathers trod,
I’m going on, yes going on;
It will lead me home to glory, to my friends and God,
I’m going on, yes going on.

Refrain:
I’m going on, yes going on,
To the city of our King,
Where His praise we’ll ever sing;
I’m going on, yes going on.

2 I am on my way to glory to my home on high,
I’m going on, yes going on;
There I’ll meet my friends and loved ones in the by and by,
I’m going on, yes going on. [Refrain]

3 Oh! the joy of that glad meeting in the home of love,
I’m going on, yes going on;
There with Jesus and the prophets, we shall meet above,
I’m going on, yes going on. [Refrain]

4 I’m invited to the wedding feast our Lord shall give,
I’m going on, yes going on;
There with Jesus as our Bridegroom, we shall ever live,
I’m going on, yes going on. [Refrain]
