During our last fund drive one donor said this: "I love hymns ... If you asked for money, it means you need it! Please keep the work going. And please, accept my widow's mite. God bless you."

She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

1 Ich hab einen herrlichen Heiland,
Er hilft mir, wo immer ich geh;
ich muß seine Wunden bezeugen
daß jeder, jeder sie seh.

Refrain:
Drum soll jeder es sehn,
drum soll jeder es sehn
Ich hab einen herrlichen Heiland,
ja, jeder, jeder soll´s sehn!

2 Sein liebendes Herz mich beglücket,
seitdem ich so nah Ihm darf stehn.
Er, Er ist der schönste von allen;
ach, daß doch alle es sähn! [Refrain]

3 Er hilft mir, wenn Satan mit Schlingen
und Fallstrick am Wege steht;
ich muß seine Siegesmacht rühmen,
damit ihr alle es seht. [Refrain]

4 Mein Leben, mein Leben mein Alles
ist Sein, und ich diene Ihm gern,
Ihm, der mich so herrlich errettet,
Ihm, meinem herrlichen Herrn. [Refrain]
