Sinner, thy Savior now pleads for thee,
Standing and knocking, anxiously waiting,
Longing to save thee and set thee free.

Refrain:
Jesus is calling, tenderly calling;
Sinner, He pleads—oh, hear His today!
Will you not heed His tender entreaties?
Why not receive Him, His voice obey?

2 Sinner, ‘tis Jesus, like the good shepherd,
Out on the desert to find his sheep;
When he hath found it, heaven rejoices—
Sinner thy Savior can save and keep. [Refrain]

3 Prodigal son, thy Father is waiting,
Anxious and longing, He will not spurn;
He will forgive thee, hasten to welcome—

4 Chiefest of sinners Jesus will welcome,
