Rv John G Foote USA 1854-1901. Probably born in Salina, IA, John and his brother were Presbyterians. John married Janet Ann Macindoe. He and his brother evangelized in the Chicago area in the 1890s. His hymn was published in 1892, but not copyrighted, as Foote was against copyright.
