He will go with me

Representative Text

1 Jesus my Saviour promised that He, there, would be with me,
When I am called the shadowed value of death to pass through!
And I am fully trusting Him for this, the fulfilling,
Yes, I believe that He to it will ever be true!

Refrain:
Yes, I believe that He'll be there, and too, will go with me!
Calming the waves that would without Him over me roll!
Yes, I believe that He'll be there, and too, will go with me!
And, in the crossing, He will speak sweet peace to my soul!

2 Count I, the wealth of earth as dross, to have the assurance,--
Thro' the sweet promise, that He'll never leave me alone!
That, in this trial, when all earthly friends can be fail me,
Dearer than all, the hope, I there, shall claim as my own! [Refrain]

3 I am confiding, ever, in His glorious promise,
Waiting the moment when the scene, my spirit shall view!
Trusting the hand of Him, my Lord, to reach and to save me,
Bidding my soul, the waves, to pass, all happily through! [Refrain]
