Lead Me Dear Savior

Representative Text

1 Lead me dear Saviour, be Thou my Guide,
Help me to follow—close to Thy side;
Thou art my Shepherd, I am Thy sheep;
In Thy green pastures watch o’er me keep.

Refrain:
Lead me dear Saviour, lead me day by day,
Over life’s pathway, lead me all the way,
Till in Thy glory, Thy face I see,
Help me to follow, dear Saviour, but Thee.

2 Lead me dear Saviour, when dark the night,
Out of the shadows, to morning bright—
Till in Thy glory Thy face I see,
Jesus my Saviour, my Leader be. [Refrain]

3 Lead me dear Saviour, lead ev’ry day,
All of life’s journey, over life’s way,
Help me to follow, where Thou hast trod,
Always beside me, lead on to God. [Refrain]

4 Lead me dear Saviour, Shepherd divine,
Star of the morning, over me shine,
Lighting my pathways, to perfect day
Always forever, lead all the way. [Refrain]
