1 O kjæreste Sjæl, op at vaage!
Thi Dødsens og Helvedes Taage,
Ved Jesu Død alt er forsvunden,
Og Seieren evig er vunden.

2 Bort Synder og Laster og Lyder!
Fremskinner, I hellige Dyder!
Thi Jesus vil Hellighed have,
At vi vore Synder begrave.

3 Hver rense sin Surdeig af Hjerte
Med Graab og Fortrydelsens Smerte,
Al Ondskab fra Sjælens udfeie
Og gamle, vanartige Deige!

4 Et Paaskelam for os er blevet
Til Slagterbænk ynkelig drevet,
Vor Kristus, vor Glæde og Ære,
Som vilde vort Offerlam være.

5 Den, som haver Alting i Volde,
Hans Frydefest hellig vi holde
Med Salmer og aandelig' Sange,
Ja pukke mod Døde og prange.

6 Gid Renhed hvert Hjerte maa smykke,
Og Sandhed i Sindet sig trykke,
Saa skal vi fra Dudskab udtræde,
Og Paaskefest holde med Glæde!
