The Harvest Home

Representative Text

1 Oft our voices here we raise,
Singing songs of joyful praise,
To the Lamb who sits upon the throne;
But our bliss will be complete,
When we gather at His feet,
Trophy-laden for the “Harvest Home.”

Refrain:
I’ll be ready for the “Harvest Home,”
I am waiting for the King to come;
What a meeting!
Blessed meeting!
When we gather at the “Harvest Home.”

2 With the dear ones gathered in,
From the fields all rife with sin,
From His presence never more to roam;
We will lay our burdens down,
And receive a starry crown,
When we gather at the “Harvest Home.” [Refrain]

3 What a greeting there will be,
When our loved ones we shall see,
And the Christ who for our sins atoned;
There in blessed harmony,
Safe with them we’ll ever be,
In a never ending “Harvest Home.” [Refrain]
