Representative Text

1 Once I was far from Jesus,
All was dark within;
But now I am rejoicing,
I’m redeemed from sin.

Refrain:
Redeemed, redeemed,
Redeemed by infinite love,
Redeemed, redeemed,
An heir to a mansion above;
Redeemed, redeemed,
Adopted a Child of the King,
Within my soul the joy-bells ring,
Redeemed, redeemed.

2 His love to me is precious,
And each glad day brings
Some service sweet to render
For my Lord and King. [Refrain]

3 I know He’ll ever guide me,
For His word is sure;
He’ll give me grace and glory,
Which shall e’er endure. [Refrain]
