Representative Text

1 Praise the Lord, the Mighty One victorious!
Speak of Him, the Wonderful, the Glorious!
Praise His holy name,
Speak abroad His fame
Until all the world shall own and crown Him Lord of all.
He hath led us thro’ the waters of the sea,
And delivered from our strongest enemy:
He is God alone!
He our King we own,
At His feet in adoration joyfully we fall.

Refrain:
Praise Him and adore Him!
Songs of gladness sing
To our King!
He is mighty to deliver,
Give unto His name honor and praise forevermore!
Praise Him and adore Him!
Songs of gladness sing
To our King!
He is mighty to deliver,
Praise His holy name;
Praise Him, praise Him,
Praise His holy name.

2 Who can understand His mighty works of love
In the earth below, and in the heav’ns above?
Worlds uncounted He
Holds in majesty,
Rocks the mighty ocean in the hollow of His hand.
Stars their places hold at His all-wise decree!
All creation owns His regal majesty!
He is God alone!
He our King we own,
“Here am I” we answer to His just and wise command. [Refrain]
