On! On! On!

Representative Text

1 Press on, renew the battle,
Nor lay the armor down;
Cease not to do your duty,
But strive to win the crown;
Fear not nor get discouraged,
But sound the battle cry;
Yield not but keep advancing,
We’ll conquer by and by.

Refrain:
On! on! on!
Press on against the foe;
All in line,
Be steady as you go.
On! on! on!
Keep ever in the fray;
Forward march,
Until we win the day.

2 The nations must be taken,
The people we must win;
The millions we must rescue,
Now going down in sin;
They’re looking, waiting, longing
For us to cross the sea;
They’re lost and need the gospel,
They’re slaves and must be free. [Refrain]
