Representative Text

1 Rise and shine, his light is thine,
Church of Christ, arise and shine.
Let us live "Thy kingdom come",
so God's will, not ours, be done;
robes of white put on and sing
songs of praise to Christ our King.
Pay our tithes of all we claim,
lay up treasures with the same.

2 O, how few the road do tread
with our Lord the living Head;
love of money, pleasure, pride,
frown on Christ, who bled and died.
In his love united stand,
heart in heart, and hand in hand,
as we march, God's holy throng,
laude and sing salvation's song.

3 Let us seek lost souls to find,
be to all helpful and kind,
look for him, our coming Lord,
who will bring us great reward?
Crowns of stars we then shall wear;
palms of vict'ry we will bear.
In that home so pure and bright,
we shall dwell all clad in white.
