Representative Text

1 So lange Jesus bleibt der Herr,
Wird’s alle Tage herrlicher.
So war’s, so ist’s, so wird es sein
Bei seiner gläubigen Gemein.

2 Es bleibt bei dem bekannten Wort
Von Zeit zu Zeit, von Ort zu Ort;
Christi Blut und Gerechtigkeit
Bleibt der Gemeine Schmuck und Kleid.

3 Das Psalmenlied am krystallnen Meer,
Das Losungswort vom kleinen Heer
Ist: "Eines hat uns durchgebracht,
Lamm Gottes, dass du warst geschlacht."

4 Du bist und bleibest unser Herr,
Der Leitstern deiner Wanderer,
Der Deinen teures Oberhaupt,
Dem keiner Feinde Macht sie raubt.
