Representative Text

1 Tell the Gospel story everywhere you go;
Bear its light and glory to the haunts of woe;
Hearts will give it welcome, life and joy ’twill bring,
Story of salvation, message of the King.

Refrain:
Ever blessed story, tell it o’er and o’er,
Till its words of glory sound from shore to shore;
Thro’ the whole creation let the tidings ring,
Story of salvation, message of the King.

2 Tell the precious story, till all strife shall cease,
Bright with hope and glory may its power increase;
Souls that dwell in bondage hear the news you bring,
Story of redemption, message of the King. [Refrain]

3 Tell the tender story—sin and grief abound;
Point to realms of glory souls in darkness found;
One has come from Heaven endless life to bring,
Story of the Savior, message of the King. [Refrain]
